Equipé d'un gouvernail de surf, il est très joueur dans les vagues.

Normally I paddle a Fenix Elite S, today pure downwind.
Immediate thoughts stable, very comfy seat, a bit wider than I'm used to but after a few km's all good, the cockpit was very dry compared to other similar craft.
The boat was very stable, tracked brilliantly on the wave face and slipped over the swell in front very well without any digging in. Maneuverability was like most Fenn's very good, but the hint of extra stability allowed you to really throw the hull into a better position. As the swell picked up, the extra waterline length clearly stood out running away from the swordy and showing her heals to some elite s craft.
Comfort, the seat position, extra leg length, all added up, after 23 km, no niggles or rubbing. This one works.

The boat surfs, giving you time to look around, change direction quickly and wipe the grin off your face.

Performance:
The Spearfish is marketed as a between Elite S and Swordfish boat and that is exactly what you get but I'm sure for me it would be quicker than both in all conditions as my balance is not what it used to be in a bump on the Elite S and the ergonomics of the seat, same or better stability and extra water line length over the Swordfish make it in theory, quicker. Its a waste of time doing time trials where I paddle as its tide, wind and wave effected but to me the feel of the Spearfish is a winner over both boats.
